Applications: 
The JEOL 2200 FS is dedicated for standard EM imageing of samples at room temperature and cryo conditions.

Large area mapping: Due to the high level of remote control and the enhanced stability of the instrument, automated recording of large-area maps at ≤ 1 nm resolution is possible.

Tomography: The JEOL can be used for tomography at room temperature and in lowdose mode at cryo conditions. Batch tomography (automated tomogrpahy at predefined positions) is possible. Using the in-column filter, tomograms up to 300 nm sample thickness are possible.

Single-particle aquisition: Single-particle datasets can be recorded using SerialEM in combination with several home-made scripts.

Liquid phase TEM: liquid samples can be analysed using a dedicated liquid phase sample holder (Protochips). Liquid phase experiments and electrochemical experiments are possible.
