​Funding of the CRC 1089 "Synaptic Micronetworks in Health and Disease" was extended for another four years

How do nerve cells in the brain process information and drive complex behaviors? And in what ways do networks change as a result of a disease? For the past eight years, scientists in the Collaborative Research Center 1089 "Synaptic Micronetworks in Health and Disease" at the University of Bonn have been working together to answer these and other issues to gain more knowledge about the brain. Together with partners from German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in Bonn, caesar is also part of the consortium, which has now achieved a great success: The German Research Foundation is funding the interdisciplinary network for another four years.
